Positive: This was the first time that a property was EXACTLY the same as the pictures! Very modern and spacious apartment, tastefully decorated and well appointed. The apartment was spotless when I arrived, and there is a small supermarket just downstairs to pick up essentials. The facilities were fantastic; from the super comfortable bed, to the rain shower and constant hot water throughout. This place is unbelievable value for money. The hosts were also very responsive and helpful. They even facilitated a slightly earlier check-in for me, which I appreciated after the long journey to Cluj.
Negative: Just some minor points that would have made my stay a little bit more comfortable, and they are very minor. There was no dishcloth or laundry tablet provided to use the washing machine. I couldn’t change the channel on the TV no matter how hard I tried, and the WiFi only really works well in the living area. It can freeze or be very slow in the bedroom. Another issue I had was with the coffee machine. While 2 pods were provided, I simply could not manage to turn it on! The location is good, but be advised that it is about a 15 minute walk from the centre where the majority of bars and restaurants are located. The route back at night is a bit daunting as the streets are not very well lit.
Summary: Cluj’s best kept secret, and amazing value for money!
